Benjamin Cervantez

Hello! My name is Ben and I am from San Francisco, California. I am passionate about computer science, economics, and philosophy. I’m the founder and executive director of nonprofit Ahead of the Game which provides access to sports for kids in the Bay Area. I serve as the leader of the Student Launch Initiative which is an incubator for high school start-ups. This past summer, I worked for Code Tenderloin as a teacher. This entailed presenting topics about HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and one on one tutoring. I also started working with Págame this summer in web development and API documentation. My projects include things like the webpage you’re looking at now. I’m currently deciding which college I want to attend next year. Outside of the classroom and workspace, I like to play baseball and football, spend time with friends, and play the bass.
